Villa in Tuscany for rent

When love for the land and nature moves everything

The bond of the Counts Spalletti Trivelli – a family originally from Reggio Emilia – with Tuscany began about 130 years ago, a few decades after the Unification of Italy, with the purchase of 650 hectares of land north-east of Florence, in a small corner of paradise, rich in woods and with breathtaking views over the Sieve Valley.

Among the many properties he visited in Tuscany, the then Senator Venceslao Spalletti Trivelli, grandfather of the current owner Gabriella, chose Colognole for the “serenity, beauty and tranquillity that one breathes there” (from a letter from the Senator to his wife).

In all these years our family has never abandoned its love for this land, dedicating themselves with passion for five generations to the valorisation of the great wines of the Docg Chianti Rufina and extra virgin olive oil, together with a hospitality project that in the last 30 years has risen to an important scale and of great environmental value.
